Đây là dạng câu hỏi thường gặp nhất trong các bài đọc hiểu, chiếm đến 50% tổng số lượng các câu hỏi.
Câu hỏi chi tiết tập trung vào một thông tin cụ thể trong đoạn văn. Thông tin đó có thể là thời gian, địa điểm, người, vật, nguyên nhân, kết quả, v.v.
Các câu hỏi chi tiết thường bám theo trình tự bài đọc. Có bốn phương án lựa chọn tương ứng với mỗi câu hỏi. Câu trả lời đúng nhất có nội dung sát với thông tin trong bài, và thường được diễn đạt theo một lối khác đi: thay đổi cấu trúc câu hay dùng các từ đồng nghĩa, hoặc trái nghĩa.

Flutes have been around for quite some time, in all sorts of shapes and sizes and made from a variety of materials. The oldest known flutes are, about 20,000 years old, they were made from hollowed-out bones with holes cut in them. In addition to bone, older flutes were often constructed from bamboo or hollowed-out wood.
